First picked up Gravity's Rainbow at a B. Dalton's in a mall, maybe 25 years
ago. Took a while to get through it the first time. I remember taking it on
the road, sitting by a hotel pool reading for hours. When I got to the end,
I remember laughing and thinking, "Ok, I get it now. It isn't hard, it's
funny, and Tyrone has reached enlightenment." The joke's on me if I take it
too seriouly. I've been a grateful reader ever since. I like all of them,
including Inherent Vice...but I have to confess, I only joined the plist to
meet chicks.....
