so I get myself a copy of Geo Simmel's Philosophy of Money, thinking
of Kai (& Alice) and I read a bit and I am faxcinated cause Simmel 
sez;           money is abstract, no surprise there, but therefore between the 
                 real and the imaginary...
 
                 its need to circulate links it to modernism: speed and 'melting into air"
 
                 it signifies the 'stranger in society', modernism again, syndrome since
                 it is a medium of exchange even between strangers....
 
                And, not least, as a medium of exchange it is modernism's mediation
                in action....money is a touchstone of mediation, that pervasive condition
                we live(d) in..................

Printing Euros won't help. You can't inflate out of this. The Greeks
need to bend over and take it in the ass. And, that is what they are
going to do. The rest of us who play the vouyer now will be greeced up
and violated soon enough. We are not turning Japanese, but Chinese.
