Here in New Orleans most graves are above ground in small individual
mausoleums, or multi-level versions.  The corpses inside cook rather
quickly from the hot sun, and soon are dust.  That allows multiple
famile members to share the same space, just pushing the dust toward
the back to make new room.  A very cozy arrangement.
