Pynchon was still a student, as well as the woman. I think Baxter Hathaway was the teacher.

Sorry, but I’m going for hallucination –if the article exists, hallucination on the part of its author. Pynchon teaching a writing course strikes me as somewhat less likely that Salman Rushdie opening a bookstore in Tehran. Subject: Does anyone know about this article? There was an article online, since 2009, by a women who took creative writing courses, or a course, with Pynchon. She mentions that he was always saying he wasn't good enough and more to my point that when she read Pynchon's remark about drug humor being more prevalent than drug use at Cornell in the late 50s, she was relieved because while reading Farina's novel years earlier, she thought she had missed something. I've searched every link I've saved and have been going through 69 pages of Google alerts in an attempt to refind this article to no avail. Perhaps I hallucinated it. But if I didn't, I thought perhaps yo might know about it, at leat an author or a title.
