Ayn Rand: Why is she so popular?

That's like maybe a Big Mac is more important than beef wellington -  they're both beef with stuff on them and wrapped or stuck in some kind of breadish package.   

So the Mac is basically pink slime and the Wellington is a prime cut,  the Mac has lettuce and cheese,  the Wellington has paté (or mustard sauce)  and mushrooms,  the Mac has a mushy white bun,  the Wellington has a flakey little crust.   The Mac has a "special sauce," the Wellington has a Béarnaise sauce.  

What's the definition of "important?"
