Subject: Re: isaac's Here
Cable now out, so no Internet (or TV) except via iPhone. But we're lucky French
Quarterites still w/ power, so most comforts still here. And radio's scratchy
voices tell us Isaac's stalled over Houma, so the bands of wind & rain will
probably be w/ us till late tonight. We'd be toast if the pumps failed, cause
stalled storm means rain, rain, rain.
But some folks outside the Federal levees (built by the parishes) in Plaquemines
parish are in their attics w/ water to the ceiling beneath them.
Being a Cat1, many in NOLA have stayed, but most of the City is now w/o power.
Thanks for the concern. We'll be fine.
David Morris
PS
The photo was staged last night during our Isaac party to be sent to local TV as
devastation documentation.
