The fix (Was Re: NP Misc.)

I guess you must have missed the first two premises of my post, which,
I admit, was tongue-in-cheek. With "smart gun" technology the weapon
can only be fired by the person to whom it is registered.
The last part of my post was not so tongue-in-cheek. Women may drive
men to drink or, as Shakespeare intimated, demonstrate at times some
especially annoying fraility and fecklessness, but they do not, as a
rule, commit large scale random acts of massacre. They do not, in
general, run amok, or dress up as a policeman and murder scores of
innocent teens in Norway, or break into churches and mow down tens of
worshippers, or any other numerous examples of random murderous
violence, often directed at people with no connection to them
whatsoever.
These are particularly male behaviors. In China, for example, where
guns are not so prevalent, school attacks are carried out by males
using other weapons:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_attacks_in_China_(2010%E2%80%932011)
Clearly, it is not just guns, although guns make it so much easier to
spue wholesale random death.
This is a male disease and it needs to be acknowledged as such. To
downplay that aspect of the recent tragedy is to take away from the
amazing and courageous bravery of those women at the school who gave
their lives to save at least some of the children.

Women will promptly hand those guns over to some man, either "Mr.
Right" or a
son or a brother - someone. The Sandy Hook killer's guns were
registered in
his mom's name.

occassionally go nuts and drown their kids, or drag them into a suicide
scenario, but this is rare. There are, to my knowledge, no documented
massacres
of innocents by women in the U.S. All of them have been perpetrated by
men. We
need to acknowledge this fact and deal with it accordingly.

effect that
we ignite a bunker and throw each other into the flames. Let's see,
how'd he put
that.... "We build a fire in a powder magazine, then double the fire
department
to put it out. We inflame wild beasts with the smell of blood, and then
innocently wonder at the wave of brutal appetite that sweeps the land
as a
consequence." - Speech, between October 5 and October 17, 1907. We feed
psychotropic drugs to people whose minds are already weakened and
deluded into a
perspective that sees slaughter as common and who are living hopelessly
at the
edge, then we sell them guns. All the guns they want.

And we are

The
Apollonians have work to do. I think few generations have been called
upon to
rebuild on the ruins of such a society as reigns today, but the coming
generation is tasked with just that. My question is how can we help,
now that we
have let so much that is bad take root? There's work to be done, that
much I
believe.
