Sorry, I genuinely do not get what you mean by this.
I just reckon that Chandler is a better writer than Hammett. Subjective, yes, but if judged purely on literary merits, Chandler wins hands down.
Personally, I have read loads of Leonard. Particular favourites include Freaky Deaky, Maximum Bob (if only because I read it early on), Get Shorty, Killshot, etc.
