Sot-Weed in one of my faves. I've read several door-stoppers in etext form,
and long before these new e-readers were available. Yes, Project
Gutenberg's plain vanilla texts were priceless to me then, and now I use
hypertexts, even make hypertexts, as a normal part of my business, sitting
on a park bench, among (or is it amongst?) school children. Reading in
light form is never like a body swayed to music, but in this country, no
country for us old men, where we sit and listen to groans and nightingales,
and where the technologies of depths are strapped to us, though we scream
in agony, we must read at light speed or be sucked into the black holes and
mackerel crowded seas.
