I remember reading Sot-Weed back in the 70s and was exceedingly hoping
for the poor lad to lose his virginity.
I caught a terrible cold while reading it, but I don't hold that
against the book.

I liked a lot of things about it: Burlingame, for instance.  Joan
Toast.  The idea that he raked through a bunch of history and found
inspiration for the work.  But I don't mind saying that I was a trifle
disappointed that he never did get his ashes hauled...
