Against the Day, heavensent

The third reference to the heavens in the early sections of AtD
is about the 'lavatorial assaults' done by the crew which have
been seen as 'folklore, superstition or, to stretch the term "religious'.
 
I think we can say TRP--or the start, at least, of the Chums' meanings
for us ---is not in the American Transcendental tradition, eh?
