More banal simplicities:
Kit, maybe smartest one, wants to rise to the creative class. Gets bought by Vibe...(one question to ask, Who isn't bought by Vibe?) .
Reef. Twice we read his anger was beyond its cause, close to nihilistic. The word used about the
group of Russian anarchists, 19th Century, who believed in the propaganda of the deed.
See "The Demons".--"The Possessed", when I read it.
Frank, styles himself the stupid bro, probably jokingly. Studies in Mining School. Most like Dad Webb?
He is the one who carries out the revenge killing of Sloat. He has "regret" for killing Sloat even before
he flees the town. Is this the narrator condemning such revenge?

of the endless horror of History. The courier brings the news of death and retribution starts always and again.
