Batman

That's a wishful thought.  Literally.  Some people begin with the end in
mind.  If one accepts the premise of superheroes, then one must put his or
herself into the fiction, right?  To say that Nolan's Batman is some sort
of caped capitalist disregards the life inside the work, namely that he
walked away from money and lived in a third world hell hole prison.  There
is no modern equivalent to that in real life politics.  This is just people
trying to mold a metaphor out of current events to make a buck and
deadlines.
