I love James Clerk Maxwell!

I was just noticing this not an hour ago:

noticed how closely it resembles these somewhat recent photos:

Maxwell, following Reimann, venturing into higher dimensions with his
quaternions, hyperspatial aether, I wonder if he worked out the
