Nobody's interested in playing your paranoid fantasy games, Mad. They're
too paranoid. 93% of the eight people on here know that nine eleven was an
inside job, but the thing is, 911 worked, it made everybody afraid to be
associated with evildoers, so you can't talk about evildoing even in a
negative context, because we literary people no all about the evil problems
contexts can cause.
What more obvious place to seek evildoers than a Pynchon Club? Of course
we're being watched, observed, right? We can't discuss where the Next Big
Threat will be etc., because that will autiomatically raise suspicions.
Why are we discussing evildoing? Hmm? Even though everybody with half a
brain knows that certain societies need periodic Big Threats to sustain
themselves. And when was the last one in the Land of the FreedomLovers?
A good Chomsky exercise in totalitarian-shutdown would be to start an
organization that studied where when and how would be the next big one, and
then start investigating the who. Accordingly to Noam, we'd all be fine
until somebody started paying attention to us. And the thing is, all eight
people on this list believes there's a lot more than eight people on this
list watching, listening, sniffing around, paying attention to the drunken
rants of longing souls.
I was going to end with Zarathustra, but I see all that is available is the
Common translation, nevermind. On Redemption, was it, something about a
giant ear, Zarathustra wishing into it like some poor pining Mason for his
Love?
What is that about conscience, cruelty turned inward...? Have our rulers
no conscience? No wait, no that's, that's *way* too ironic...
