Paul, I see where you're coming from. I'v also seen the needle and the damage done. However, I wouldn't give any awards to alcohol, it's claimed its own: Pigpen Mckernan, Billy Burroughs, etc. Jerry Garcia died in his 50's - Kerouac died at 47.
Plus, I thought we were talking booze vs. grass and acid. I am willing to concede that one can enjoy a bit of scotch with greater frequency than Alice D. or any of her psychotropic sisters.
As for Grace, if she made it this far then she has done alright.
