Ms Kakutani praised M & D like this in her original review...She might be seen as another
reader/critic/reviewer who came of age wanting 'round characters', full human beings, almost-only in her fiction
so dissed earlier TRP novels......
 
I repeat myself, so I repeat myself, said Whitman's valet but I think TRP created these emotionally warm
rich round characters Mason & Dixon because at that time those two were able to be....
