anyway, in my ideal U, violent sports would be treated as crimes and
the perpetrators arrested and held in opprobrium and so forth --
medical studies would be respected but liberal arts would be revered
(like the difference between Doktor and Arzt in Germany, or so I was
led to believe in high school German class...)
