Back to AtD. TRP hooks more people up, pp919 ff

i'm not sure i made any headway on the relationship level in AtD,
particularly in its later stages. I feel it really ground the book
down in trivialities ( the Reef triangle puerile; Franks forgettable
and Kit's dull)  which were mostly unnecessary anyway

M&D seemed to me a much more mature work (despite the ghoulish
goofiness); somewhat disappointed that Pynchon reverted back after it.
expecting less sexual/power play S&M type shtick.
