I remember the Alexandria Quartet. I had read all four by 1960 and they
remain unopened for fifty years, four black ones and one red.
But seriously, yes, catastrophe could strike. The successive fires to
the Great Library made the Dark Ages darker.
But never send to know for whom the clock is ticking; it ticks for
digital and printed books alike.
