the Shaye thing was all over the place a couple weeks ago anyway,
nation and huffpo, but just like when Dan Rather resigned, the real
story wasn't who used leverage, it was Bush's pilot test scores, which
should have been a huge part of the 2004 campaign --- here the real
story is US carrying out the bombing.
Everybody knows we throw money and training and arms at them,
supposedly to support the lesser evil. (and this is accepted at face
value by a lot of people who should know better) -- so, wasn't that
enough, did we have to go in and show them how to do it?
a-and then we kill a passel of civilians
assuming all this support is really intended to prop a "less-worse"
government, the leverage we exert should be to make them less worse,
not more worse...
