trusting soul that I am, during the 1st Gulf War, I really believed
that our smart bombs killed only bad guys and exploded only at their
targets.
where do you suppose I got that idea?
I'm sure AJ would also find a way to abuse my trust, but -- again
borrowing from The Metaphysical Club -- old Peirce tried to build some
praxis on the least squares method of finding correct data when every
one of one's data points is almost certainly in error
-- his ideas were later shown to be wrong, but - case in point - we
can correct for that...more data points!
he tried to find a way to rule out "outliers" but apparently somebody
shot it down.
so, afaik, we still have to put outliers in the mix...even AJ, even
FFN (friggin fox news)...even 24fps...
