There was a second printing of CL49. If you watch the book dealers, you'll sometimes see a second printing for sale. The price is considerably less than the first. I saw one about a year and a half ago for about $150 or maybe $200. I'm not sure of the price. The Perennial reprint in the 1980s seems to have been printed from the Lippincott film or film made from a Lippincott copy. Why bother spending the cash when a beat up former library copy could be found for $35 at the time? Had to make sure that the later printing was a duplicate of the earlier one. Anyone know, by the way, why only some of the errata of AtD was corrected in the paperback but not all of it.
And I thouoght I once learned that there was no second hardcover printing at the time. so, total sales were some net of first and only printing.
