One plister at least, another I think, straight out--pun intended-- pointed to TRPs "'problem
with homosexuality"' as seen in his books. Homosexuality is  Not Exactly seen as equal to 
heterosexuality, it would seem. Examples abound. 

Some defenders say, as with almost everything, homosexuality is another
conceit to express (mostly) something else in his fictions, as is all the 
'obscene' sex [Pulitzer Committee] in Gravity's Rainbow.
