My comments are just a gloss on some of TRP's tropes. In ATD, he writes about America after it is "discovered".
All your and Vollman's truths are out of his vision as literally expressed, arguably. (From the work, we can infer he may agree with all you say, yet, not part of his work (except that he does have to have a vision of human nature to be a major writer and I say he does.
