For the rhythm, I think one should drop the "thes" before stairs and cares...
Drop "It's ours for"....

Drop the "Frankly"

Drop the "but" or the "Great"

Subject: obama's victory

A poem sent to me by an eccentric observer from down under:

TO THE MUSIC OF HANDEL

'Twas the night after Victory
and through the White House,
nought could be heard stirring,
not even a mouse -

till the Dawn brings a fanfare
and clashing of cymbals,
like to throw the poor ecosphere
clean off its gimbals,
and a thunderous drum
to announce Kingdom Come:

Obamas
in pyjamas
come dancing down the stairs -
Obamas in pyjamas
now free from all their cares!
"Allelujah! Allelujah!
It's ours for four more years!"

While in Boston sour Mitt,
said: "Frankly, I don't give a shit!
But I shall pray for our Great Land
under that black half-wit!
Yet I sure do regret all those billions of cash,
that inflated my air-ship - 'cause the mother's gone crash!
Sure, I put my whole faith in the Angel Moroni,
but there's this nagging doubt
(but don't noise it about!)
that the fucker's a phoney!"

Obamas in pyjamas... (da capo ut supra)

Oh, our Great USA,
Mortgaged Home of the Free,
what a ruinous way
to buy back Liberty!
Allelujah! Allelujah!
What a crazy outlay
to recoup Liberty!
Al - le - lu - jah! (da capo ad infinitum)

What do you think?
