Jack Webb

Has anyone ever thought the Webb character, with LAPDOG, is an ancestor of Bigfoot, so to speak? And that his "just the facts"  ( which line I used to like for it's cut-to- the- chase clarity when I was a young ' un wanting facts) is another version of narrowing the richness of life down to smaller than lifeness?
