Nomadism and the Family Against the Dat

Against the Day has so many ways in; so many things that can be said about it; so many threads, so to speak. .

My overriding thought about review-essay, besides the interesting focus on family is Why did he not talk of the Chums as some kind of unifiers--the novel begins and ends with them--and which also contains family in a very willful unexpected way?
