Took a detour to the "Pynchon Book Blurb" list, and now it's "Nog," by
Rudolph Wurlitzer. In one of those fits of OCD online shopping, I acquired
almost every book on that list, and may eventually get to all of them.
Several people, not only on the Plist, have recommended Barbara Kingsolver,
so she's a contender.
