I know why Bret Easton Ellis hates David Foster Wallace

This answers a lot of questions for me. When I first read IJ, my mind
boggled from the detail of obscure parts of Allston/Brighton that
would not be known to a Harvard student slumming in the Allston clubs.
These characters seemed to be based on real people, people I knew or
people very much like them. I was convinced that I HAD to have crossed
paths with this guy.
