Calling all P-listers,

I seem to recall that some time back (not too long) I read something in which the writer made the claim that some of Pynchon's books were still in print thanks to university syllabi (it was critical of TP). Was that the guy that claimed to have read GR in 6hrs? I read through his review again but didn't see it. Can anyone help?
