NP except maybe sorta too, but Gass on Rilke and grace

In his self-admittedly risky attempts at translation, Gass find this image to fulfill, perhaps, what he sez is Rilke's 
non-denominational 'spirituality', even religiosity (maybe):

                               " graceshaped swans"
