GR translation: mirror-rotation of sorrow

I think perhaps the mirror-rotation means that the mirror itself is moving which changes the reflection angle of sorrow -  It goes from the sorrow of the faces he knows to his own and back to theirs.    And I think that turning means he can't turn either physically or mentally - he is totally trapped viewing this horror -   he can't run,  he can't rage,  he can't even turn away -
