banana story, " yes,I have no bananas ( now)"

so, I had some long car drives to stay elsewhere and work and not work. I threw my Complete Shakespeare and my Against the Day into a canvas bag, my must-stay in touch- with reads at the moment....along with a banana. For when I got hungry.

got where I was going late...brought in necessaries.....there were other books......bag stayed....
Until just the other day. I now have ripe banana fragrance emanating from a Pynchon novel.
