The writer is a reductionist.....that world-historical V. had small-town Republican shenanigans feeding it.....that, although working on more than one book at a time is acknowledged, TRP lost productivity when Vineland took 17 years to come out...
He wants to find hypocrisy: ESCHEW SLOTH and lost productivity....
Against the Day reduced to anti- capitalism by a guy who lives its comforts....
He's so powerful although he acts like he wants to be powerless
And more.
Mean-spirited at its heart.
