This really gets at the problem of the theory of the unified executive and the persecution of whistleblowers. With no accountability there is no way to know if the porn was planted by the government, and ultimately there is no way to have accountability for even the most substantive crimes of those in power. The central role of checks and balances in the US version of Democracy appear to be largely a thing of the past. Big brother now includes Google, Apple, the phone companies, the banks, facebook, hallibuton, booz allen......
