the toilet thread

Sometimes a toilet is where the shit flows. Besides the deep use
of N.O. Brown's great book in GR as Morris reminds, I just want
to point out that in AtD Pynchon had the toilet scrier 'get' the crimes
in rich Santa Barbara by toilet divination. It scared him.remember? 
 
If you don't have time to read all of Life Against Death, as Morris and I
recommend, get a library copy and read the chapter on shit. In a great book, 
this chapter may be the greatest---and the source of a lifelong 
metaphor for TRP. It seems. 
 
Toilets are everywhere in Bleeding Edge as Fiona notices and tells because
money is everywhere in NYC in the Aughts.......and tons of dark money is what
the plot hinges on....................................
