And if Canberra is implementing the new system then you can be *sure*
that it's already well in place elsewhere. Australia tends to be a
follower rather than a leader in these matters, and doesn't read the
fine print, either. It's already been confirmed that the Aust.
government willing installed the technology for NSA to monitor our
phones and internet, even though we're not, erm, US citizens or
particularly high on any threat list. Guess we were just asked nicely.
