Is there a parallel between Sudwest and NYC?  Not at first blush, but
perhaps...once again there is the party with fabulous treats on offer such
as tickets to Gstaad (memories of that Scent of a Woman movie) for the
fortunate few inside, and misery abounding outside, linkage between the 2
conditions not directly made as in V. where the trail of blood leads to the
whipping post,  but often enough alluded to.
