Most great artists -- I was going to say ALL but maybe there are a few exceptions -- have a small set of themes they pound away on obsessively, and P. is no different. Hitting on P. for this is no different than complaining that here comes Mr. Faulkner again with yet another novel about the legacy of slavery.

I am trying to think of a better attitude than annoyance when faced with a reviewer who deducts points for being concerned with the same issues as previous books! Have the issues gone away? Is there more to say about them? No! Yes!
