Rainbow, Slothrop plays Pokler chess for a short paragraph, before Pokler
points a Luger "as big as a house" ("And it's about to set sail....") at
the pig's head.  Slothrop plays chess by superstition, which is funny but
senseless enough.  Obsessed with protecting his knights.  What's the two
Springers there.  Do they just spring, the knights, and Snuggles made a
Company out of their action?  Is that it?
