I liked Argo a lot. It was a fun/exciting movie. Zero Dark Thirty was also good. I liked them both better than Lincoln.

Argo won because Affleck didn't get nominated for Best Director. It was the consensus pick that everyone predicted. To claim the CIA was behind it... well, that' makes as much sense as the 9/11 conspiracies.

There is a huge amount of serious, independent scholarship and journalism about 9/11 and Al Qaeda. Try 'The Looming Tower'. I'm not a fan of Chomsky, but he gives a very clear argument against conspiracist thinking here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwZ-vIaW6Bc
