Unforced distilled thoughts, meaning it's mostly about me. 

I now think this new novel might not be a new Sportello, since one consistency over P's whole
career is that every novel has been noticeably different ( on the surface). a counterargument would be that another noir spoof would be a surprise too.

And, a too-generalized observation that all on this list might already have had: another career-long concern has been privacy, our need for and loss of, & our private lives as our redemptive hope, so to speak. 

So, the bleeding edge might touch on THAT theme in resonant ways?
