I talked to my congressman's office about gun control.  They're against it in any form because what they really want is an end to all violence (from verbal bullying to bombs) and just banning handguns, assault weapons and arsenals of ammo won't do anything about the real problem.  

As you may suspect this guy is a total dyed-in-the-wool Republican right winger from a very right wing area of a the state.  He likely gets support from the gun lobby so let's not touch that.   Let's take the high road -  LOL!   

I'd like to see someone talk about the conspiracy of the gun manufacturers who got that whole Shady Hook thing going.  Certainly did well by the sales.  Protect all schools,  malls,  churches, etc  -  buy more and bigger guns, more ammo.   Seems like the more violent incidents we have the harder the gun-toters cling to their "equalizers."   We're committing war on our own selves.  

The US is the only country in the industrialized world  in which you're more likely to see two non-military guys walking down the street with assault weapons than holding hands. 

And the Second Amendment is the only one which is allowed no flexibility (from the powers-that-be and the money-behind-them).   It's become about the right to bear any and ALL arms with no liability for the sellers.   Sad state of affairs -  freedom has become the right to kill and make money.
