When we look at Nixonland, as the Sale excerpt I posted, form the
NYRB, _The World Behind Watergate_ , we see that this is what Pynchon
writes about in TSI, Lot49, and, of course, then in VL with Ray-gun,
and certainly, we see the S&M of it, either in the drug dropout
conspiricacy hippes and BV, or in the violent enthusiasts and their
kin and Golden Fangs or International Finance.
