P and postal delivery

In the 60s the post office monoploy, its costs and losses, mail fraud,
private mail delivery, the spill over effect of the infrastructure from the
mail system, these were in the news, and a little research would expose
some finer points like, questions about the definition of mail, and how
technology was serving the consumer, improving the economy, and at the same
time,  posing challanges to consumers.
