In an anthology, there was a paragraph from Alan Watts in which he characterized the year he met and got to know the great Zen Buddhist, D.T. Suzuki, as his " year of grace"....describing Suzuki's Seemingly simple character, his spontaneously intelligent presence, Watts said,
" He uses gravity as a sailor uses the wind."
