I don't know about this "Science" creature, but do you think actual
*scientists" working at CERN, SLAC, and elsewhere do so because they
"cannot abide a mystery"? That's not been my experience. They may not be
very good programmers :-), but they can certainly abide a mystery. In
particular, I think being able to abide a mystery (or two) is an
absolute prerequisite for working with quantum mechanics.
