My big fat list so far:
Ishmael Reed, 'Reckless Eyeballing' (which I'm finishing now), 'The
Terrible Twos', 'The Terrible Threes', and 'MultiAmerica, Essays on
Cultural Wars and Cultural Peace'
Werner Herzog, 'Conquest of the Useless'
finishing Fernando Pessoa's 'Book of Disquiet' (had to put it down it late
last year because I was in therapy at the time & it wasn't helping my state
of mind)
Walter Abish 'Alphabetical Africa', and 'How German Is It?'
Henri Barbusse's 'L'Enfer'
...aaand I just scored a hardback of René Crevel's 'Babylon', illustrated
by Max Ernst, at the yard sale next door! I'm a sucker for dada &
surrealist lit, so this one may bump to the top of my list.
