TRP and Science 2 (was: Science Plays God)

I had said my piece(s) on this wheel-spinning topic, but it is endless and I was addressed.
My memory of Snow's " Two Cultures" essay finds it hard to connect with the " golden age" trope.
That the Garden of Eden Myth exists so nearly universally, might say something about our Human Nature, Psyche or Collective Unconscious, yes?
That Artists, real artists, not the superficial culture-consuming burghers Snow was referring to,
Pointed, with insight and originality to the human evils/dangers etc.of the BAD SHIT that is in the list following Capitalism, the industrial revolution, etc. did not mean they, the artists, indicted scientists and technologists for it.......The real artists, as Pynchon is, knew then as Pynchon does now, Monte, that We who are the They did it. As you have said well. 
Setting up " the awesome poets" sarcastically as below, is a misstep to me. As you rightly argue 
In another post, artists' works ARE historically grounded. They often speak against the day's false consciousness. 
The English Romantics---see excerpts below--pointed to some truths WE had lost while scrabbling with tools and toil for our living. A poem that " says" so wonderfully that ratiocination CAN " conquer all mysteries by rule and line" is not refuted by scientific achievements; Wordsworth wants the openness of one's unmediated experience in those lines below ( among other themes).....you will notice he says "Enough of Science AND OF ART! .....I have often thought of those lines when I am in situations--say with relatives--listening to many continue to see what is right in front of their eyes thru old templates---say with new children. I think I am trying to "bring a heart that watches and receives,"  but, maybe not so....[Self-criticism, etc]
